Social Media for SEO & Social Networking

 Social media platforms are a great tool for promoting a business. Featuring the products you sell, or posts that you create with links that lead viewers back to your site is great. The platform that I am using is Instagram. The thing that I have found to be the most useful is the tags and the comment section of a post. I do my best to use the caption to drive engagement, but the comment section is where the discussion happens. It's a great way to interact with viewers and promote my website. It's been pretty great! 

One thing I realized was I did not even think about the LinkedIn social networking site. This is a great way to market your business because that is a place where people look for that kind of information. I talked about using Tik Tok as a social media platform because it is all the rage right now. I have had friends use this to promote their small businesses and have gotten great responses! I am excited to dive in and use this social media platform to market my new website! On this social media platform, I can make short little videos about my website and market the features on it as well!

W04 Site Builder & Hosting

 I enjoyed reading about the student's assessment of Weebly and agree with what he said.  However, I chose Yahoo Sites since I have previously used it (when it was named Site Builder) and am familiar with its abilities.  I should be able to quickly pull together a new website based upon my knowledge and prepare it for publication sooner.  Yahoo also has the ability to accept PayPal for services (which I'm using rather than products) and have the ability to receive information from clients via e-mails to my business address.  The others have the same ability, but as I said, since I'm family with an application already, I'm going to choose it again going forward. The first thing that took my attention in Weebly is how easy it is to build a website; it is just dragged and pasted. I also like how Weebly looks.
